Chimbudevan’s Arai 305il Kadavul, has turned out to be a washout, all over Tamilnadu. It is Shankar’s ‘S’ Pictures, biggest flop till date.
Last week when it opened, it was good in multiplexes in Chennai, but could not sustain while in B & C stations it flopped the first day itself.
The basic trouble with Arai 305il Kadavul, was Chimbudevan’s core audiences who loved his Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, thought that his new film would also be a satirical comedy. However the writer director could churn out only a half baked satire with absolutely no comedy elements and was a depressing movie.
His lead actors Santhanam and Kanja Karuppu lacked screen presence when they turned hero’s, and they could not carry the film through. Chimbu could not successfully adapt Bruce Almighty, into Tamil as the subject lacked nativity.
Anyway a flop will make Chimbudevan stronger, and we are sure he will bounce back soon with a better script.
