Aamir Khan has been approached by India’s topmost management Institute - IIM Ahmedabad

After providing some cool gyaan in reel life (as a teacher in Taare Zameen Par) now Mr. Perfectionist aka Aamir Khan is all set to take the role of a Professor in real life!

If the current reports are to be believed, then Aamir Khan has been approached by India’s topmost management Institute - IIM Ahmedabad - to become a visiting professor at their Institute.

Apparently, the premier institution is initiating an elective course on ‘Introduction to Contemporary Film Industry‘ and is looking forward at the B-Town bigwigs to enlighten the students on the same.

The course is expected to cover production, economics and marketing. In short, the business & financial of the film industry.

Apart from Aamir, other B-towners - who have been approached to share the nitty–gritty’s of the film industry with the students - are Karan Johar, Ronnie Screwvala, Om Puri, Ram Gopal Varma, Mahesh Bhatt, Kishore Lulla, Kamal Hassan, Apoorva Lakhia, Madhur Bhandarkar and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Aamir Khan described himself as Marathi having been born and brought up in Maharashtra.

He was responding to a question whether he considered Marathi people lucky for him as his two home productions -- 'Lagaan' directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and 'Taare Zameen Par' whose script was written by Amole Gupte, both Maharashtrians -- were India's official entry for Oscars.

"I am a Marathi. I am born and brought up in Maharashtra. I am lucky for myself," he said.

Aamir Khan also cautioned people to stay away from the political leaders who try to divide the country on the basis of religion, caste or community.

Responding to a query on the recent controversy between Raj Thackeray and Jaya Bachchan, Aamir said: "People should stay away from politicians and leaders who try to divide the masses on the basis of religion, caste or community."

"It is harmful to the country and does no good to anyone. Any leader who tries to divide people on that line does that for his own personal gain and people should understand his intentions and stay away from him."

"People should not vote them to power as that will be harmful for everyone," the actor-turned-director said without naming any politician.

Aamir was addressing a press conference, for the promotion for his film 'Taare Zameen Par' that has been selected as the Indian official entry to the Oscars.

"India (has) several languages and people should respect each one of them. One should respect the local language as it is also an integral part of any culture," he said.

Taare Zameen Par to be dubbed in Tamil as Vaal Natchathiram, with Surya lending his voice for Aamir Khan

Taare Zameen Par to be dubbed in Tamil as Vaal Natchathiram, with Surya lending his voice for Aamir Khan in the Tamil version of the movie. Pyramid Saimira Entertainment Limited, has bagged the worldwide distribution rights of the Tamil and Telugu versions of the super-hit Tare Zameen Par Hindi film.

The movie, dubbed into Tamil and Telugu, will be released in the month of September. The Tamil version of the movie will be called Val Natchattiram, while the Telugu version of the movie will be called Nelameedi Tharalu.

The highly-acclaimed film, which deals with the trauma of a dyslexic child, has been selected from 19 nominations from across the country in various languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu and Kannada.

Actor Aamir Khan was presented the 11th Gollapudi Srinivas National Award for his film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ in Chennai on Tuesday and the award comprised a memento and a cash prize of Rs.1.50 lakh from the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation.
