Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have finally decided to leave their acrimonious

Last week Karan Johar played the catalyst, making Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor not only acknowledge each other’s presence but actually strike up a conversation, and a pretty warm one at that.

The venue for this patch up was Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat, where King Khan had hosted a celebration for My Name Is Khan. Says a source, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face and everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have on so many occasions in the past.

But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other, they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

Even after the ice was broken, neither Shahid or Kareena seemed in a rush to get back to more comfortable company. They had a pretty warm exchange and a little later even Saif, who was present at the party, joined them.

“Shahid and Kareena have finally decided to leave their acrimonious past behind them. This was very evident in the manner all three of them - Shahid, Kareena and Saif - interacted with each other at Shah Rukh’s party,” adds our source.

While both Shahid and Kareena could not be reached for comment, Kareena’s official spokesperson said, “Kareena has no problem with anybody, including Shahid.” For the record, Shahid and Kareena, who were in a serious relationship for three years, parted ways in 2007, a few days before Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met hit the theatres.

Yoga guru Bharat Thakur says while Madonna popularised yoga in the West, it was Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor.

Globally recognised yoga guru Bharat Thakur says while Madonna popularised yoga in the West, it was Kareena Kapoor who made it popular in the Hindi film industry.

"Celebrities are role models for the rest of the nation. When Kareena transformed her figure, everyone sat up and realised that yoga can give amazing results, thus getting attracted towards this form," Thakur told IANS in an e-mail interview from the US. "Similarly in the West when Madonna took up yoga everyone sat up and said 'What is she doing and why?' When they saw her body and face, they said,'Oh, this yoga must be working,' " he added.

Thakur's first Bollywood client was Sridevi and later he trained many in tinsel town including big names like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Neha Dhupia.

He says currently quite a few personalities are into yoga, but it wasn't so popular in Hindi film industry five years ago. "There was no concept of yoga in Bollywood five years back.

Till that time everybody was just going to the gym. The interest in this form has increased majorly in the recent past. "Celebrities are interested in yoga for a simple reason - it is the only form that can make you look younger with age.
It works on your body, mind and stress levels - so it's a complete package. Going to the gym can be boring and can drain you out. Yoga adds energy to your system," said Thakur whose favourite student in Bollywood is singer Kailash Kher.

"Kailash is one of the most talented, warm and open persons I have come across. He is ready to learn anything. He is special," Thakur said.

Thakur's international client?le includes Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, singer Norah Jones, tennis player Boris Becker and cricketer Shane Warne. He feels international celebrities are more interested in the mystical aspects of yoga.

Pritam with his new-found muse, compose for all of Kareena's films

Kareena Kapoor has just danced with Shah Rukh Khan for the second time. It's for Priyadarshan's Billo Barbar. And its composer Pritam Chakraborty is sure that it will be a smash hit like Kareena's other item song 'Yeh Mera Dil' with Shah Rukh in Don. Says Pritam, "The Don song was a re-mix. My item song 'Theek Hai Theek Hai' sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Sukhwinder for Kareena and Shah Rukh in Billo Barbar is an absolute original. And if today I'm doing my most creatively satisfying work, I give Kareena a lot of credit for it."

What is it about Kareena Kapoor that our new-age composers get inspired by her? Earlier he wasn't supposed to do the music in Golmaal Returns. "But then I heard Kareena is part of the sequel. And I kicked myself, 'Shit I wish I could do it.' To my good fortune Vishal-Shekhar who were supposed to do Golmaal Returns, backed out. I jumped in, rang up Shekhar and asked him, 'Tu nahin kar rahan hai?' When he confirmed they were out, I was over the moon. I've composed a rocking item song 'Maine Tujhse Pyar Kiya Hai' for Kareena in Golmaal Returns."

Earlier Anu Malik used to claim that he formed an indelible team with Kareena. With all his big projects from her debut Refugee to Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai to the ambitious (though not successful) Yaadein, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and Khushi, Anu had once said to me. "I don't know what it is about Bebo. But she brings out the best in me. And I think I do the same for her."

Now suddenly once again Kareena is the muse for another composer. The high-flying Pritam Chakraborty, who's just composed two songs 'Don't Stop' and 'Jai Jai Shiv Shankar' for Shah Rukh's Knight Riders, thinks Kareena is his lucky mascot. "It's more than that actually.

I just feel I'm linked by a creative satellite to her. It started with the 'Its Rocking' item-song in Kya Love Story Hai. You've to admit it presented Kareena like never before. And it brought me loads of popularity too. Then I did Jab We Met which I think is a turning point in my career. If it wasn't for Kareena my songs like 'Yeh Ishq Haye', 'Mauja Hi Mauja' and 'Nagara' wouldn't have become a rage. And no matter what some people say 'Yeh Ishq Haye' is an original composition. I'd say if today I'm doing original work it's because Kareena inspires me."

So taken up is Pritam with his new-found muse that he wants to compose for all of Kareena's films. "I know that isn't possible. But I'd like to try," says Pritam emotionally.

The latest promos of TASHAN reveal that she I going to double cross her beloved Saif Ali Khan in this film and will also romance with Akshay Kumar, in parallel to Saif.

Keeping aside her professional life, all does not seem to be going well in the life of Bebo. Her relationship with the Chotte Nawab is strictly being opposed by her mother Babitha and adding to it are the rumors that Kareena in a recent interview to a international channel, has revealed that Saif gets all the value because of her- are doing the rounds and it is reported that saif is miffed with his girlfriend as he is been underestimated and this news has created a rift between their love.

When Saif was questioned about this he cleverly denied that his beloved will never utter such words, but according to the close sources this is belived to be factual.

The latest news is that Kareena and Deepika padukone are going to be paired with SRK together and will also do a dance number at the DLF cup launch which is going to be starting from April 18th.

If the rumors in the industry circles are to be believed, despite here resounding success during 2007, especially ‘Jab We Met’, and hiked performance price, Kareena Kapoor has been dropped from director Imtiaz Ali’s next film.

Rejecting Kareena for a role in his film, Imtiyaz Ali has chosen the currently hot Bollywood glamour girl Deepika Padukone for the film.

Worse still, in a recent interview, director Imtiyz Ali has told a magazine that he had taken Kareena Kapoor for ‘Jab We Met’ even without liking the actress’ acting qualities and he stressed that Kareena is not a good actress at all.

Incidentally, Imtiaz Ali, who was the director of ‘Jab We Met’, has even ignored the recommendations of Saif Ali Khan the hero of his next untitled film, and rejected his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor to opt for Deepika Padukone.

More interestingly, Saif Ali Khan is not only the hero of the film, but it is going to be Saif's first film production!

Sources said that Saif Ali Khan had recommended Kareena Kapoor for their new film, but the director rejected Saif’s pleas.

Going by the standards in Bollywood, this is something significant as normally the directors seldom have the guts to ignore the requests of the hero and more so when he is also the producer of the movie.

But many here would want to know if the director would have the same guts to reject a request either by Shah Rukh Khan or Aameer Khan!
