Kollywood film Subramamaniapuram is now being dubbed into Telugu in the name of Ananthapuram 1980

Tamil super hit movie, Subramamaniapuram is now being dubbed into Telugu. The movie was earlier scheduled to be remade but the producers felt that it is impossible to bring out the same effect. So they are dubbing it under the name Ananthapuram 1980.

The movie is a nostalgic drama with a revenge angle. Telugu heroine `Colors` Swathi played the lead role.

M Ranganath is producing the film under Simhapuri Talkies banner. Sasi Kumar has directed it. The movie is expected to release next month.

Telugu Actor Krishnam Raju in Billa

‘Rebel Star’ Krishnam Raju turns a year old on January 20. He celebrates his birthday with his family members at his residence on Hyderabad. He is currently busy producing Billa with his brother’s son Prabhas on his banner Gopikrishna Movies. He also acts with Prabhas in the movie for the first time. Krishnam Raju talks about the movie.

Billa is costliest movie We have revived our Gopikrishna Movies banner and have started production with Billa, which is under progress now. By February end, we will finish it off entire shooting. Almost to the tune of 75 days, we shot on foreign land on a grand scale. Probably this is the only film in Tollywood that was shot on foreign locations for such long time. It is costliest and lavish production for us. Billa is remake of Tamil movie by the same name which itself is remake of Amitabh’s Don. Even in Telugu it was done by Late NTR two decades ago. But we changed it to suit today’s modern times.

Prabhas looks dashing Prabhas is playing a role that can be called anti-hero. He looks dashing and very stylish. From look to costumes, everything is different in this movie. Director Meher Ramesh asked us to provide good technicians and best locations and we accommodated him. Fans have been waiting to see Prabhas and me together on screen for a long time. So we have decided to come up with this flick, which gives them thrilling experience. I am playing the role of a cop who is out to nab Prabhas - the international smuggler.

Rich locations Most part of the shoot is taken place at Malaysia. For a few scenes we have used number of helicopters. Cameraman Soundar Rajan is taking huge time to get quality. Everything in the movie is on topnotch standards.

Not interested in direction I am currently entered into TV production too. We have created separate wing for it. Already a serial is on air on SV channel. Some more are under progress. I look after story and screenplay for them but not interested in turning director.

Will field in elections I will be fielding in the forthcoming elections too from Narsapuram constituency.

Chiranjeevi is becoming a good leader I think Chiranjeevi is slowly becoming like a good leader. Compared to initial stages of the party launch, everything is settled now in their party and he is also behaving and talking like a matured leader. It is nice.

I have good relationship With him as he hails from my native village – Mogalturu. He had acted in my film - Manavuri Pandavulu and then we did together Puli Bobbili. He calls me as pedda annayya.

After Bhale Dongal flopped last year, he took a break from film production but he is back. He is all set to begin a new movie with star cast of Tanish of Nachchavule and Naani (of Ashta Chemma fame) as main heroes.

Swetha Prasad Basu of Kotta Bangaru Lokam is playing the main heroine. Ramesh Varma (Oka Oorilo) is directing this.

The film will have its muhurat on Jan 21st.

Tollywood Actor Chiranjeevi Birthday and completed his 53 years of life

Chiranjeevi, who completed his 53 years of life, is stepping into his 54th year today. Coming to his political entry he is almost ready and well prepared to disclose his party’s name on August 26th on the occasion of Mother Teresa’s birthday.

But before that he must prepare well to answer the questions, which are likely to be projected towards him by the present political parties of state. If he wants to up lift the poor sincerely, then from the past 20+ years of his film career except for his blood bank he did not spend a single penny from his pocket towards the poor. Only 1% of his total property has been donated to the poor and that can also be termed as to get income tax benefit.

It is a fact that the blood is sold in his blood bank. When Allu Arvind is projected with this question, he simply says that the person who did not donate his blood till date will have to purchase it.

Tollywood Actor Mahesbabu ready for next shoot on april 24

After the release of ‘Athidi’, Maheshbabu did not sign the dotted line for any movie and the audiences in general and his fans in particular are eagerly awaiting his next project.

It is well aware that Maheshbabu is likely to play hero in a film with the direction of Trivikram Srinivas, who gave another Box Office bonanza called ‘Jalsa’ with Pawan Kalyan.

The film is to be produced by Singanamala Ramesh. The shoot will roll on from 24 April.

Meera Jasmine is again paired with Srikanth

Meera Jasmine continues to make waves in Tollywood. When she announced her intention to get married to her current boy friend (Mandolin Rajesh), it was observed that she would not be getting any more offers.

Telugu Cinema producers never approach any heroine who announces her marriage plans. Strangely though, Meera is being offered more roles now.

She has now been chosen as the main lead opposite Srikanth in producer Lagadapati Sridhar's next film. The movie will be directed by Srinivas Reddy who has good working relationship with Meera Jasmine.

She was earlier paired with Srikanth in Srinivas Reddy's earlier blockbuster - Yamagola Malli Modalindi. Now, the trio team up again to repeat the magic again.

Nitin-Mamta Mohan Das starrer is titled Victory

Nitin-Mamta Mohan Das starrer is titled Victory (with tagline- We For Victory). Produced by Venkat and directed by Ravi C. Kumar (of Samanyudu fame), the film's has completed of its shoot, but for one song.

Sashank and Sindhu Tolani play another romantic pair in the film. The film's audio is going to be released soon, while release is planned by early May.
