During the launch of his next movie Kuselan, Superstar Rajinikanth mentioned that he had full faith that Kuselan would be another milestone in his film career.He said that Raghavendra won him the respect of the educated class, Nettrikann won him the admiration of stalwarts like Sivaji Ganesan and Rajkumar, Annamalai took his Super Stardom to a new level and Muthu won him global acclaim. Likewise, he stated Kuselan will surely add another feather in his cap. He added that in Kuselan, the story is the main asset. As was the case with Chandramukhi, Kuselan too has a brilliant climax, he promises.

Pasupathy plays a bigger part in the movie, with Rajni featuring in just 25% of the story. Providing comic relief is Vadivelu, and playing Pasupathy’s wife is Meena, who is known for her intense performances. Other actors who will be a part of this movie include Nayantara, Geetha, Nizhalgal Ravi, Vijayakumar and Vaiyapuri.
Shooting for the movie will commence on the 15th March at Ramaji Rao Film City.
