The latest to join the list remake movies is the smash hit Thambikku Entha Ooru. An out-and-out comedy film, superstar Rajinikanth had starred in it. The film, released in 1984, was produced and directed by Panchu Arunachalam and Rajasekar, respectively.Thambikku Entha Ooru will be remade suiting to the current trend and choreographer-turned-actor Lawrence has bagged the offer to play the lead role.
Interestingly, he has also taken up the task of writing the screenplay. Presently associated with the film Pandi, Lawrence will pay full attention to Thambikku Entha Ooru after its completion, say sources.
